How have you been created to worship? We would love to have a conversation about what you are observing in your life, and how God may be inviting you to engage in our community of worship here at Monte Vista Chapel. It may be unclear as to what he is calling you, but that is ok. We serve to partner with you in listening to His voice. Our encouragement is to remain open to His process. Be honest with God and yourself and really try not to discount the value of your offering. We would love to help you sort through the questions that come up and find a way to serve in worship together at Monte Vista Chapel.
We serve in support of the MVC mission and vision statement of “Christ in us, Christ through us”. In doing so our ministry exists to shepherd the worshipping community of Monte Vista Chapel into a reality of life in the fullness of God’s love. Our motion in this vision is to both invite and introduce our community through worship, to the One who calls them beloved. It is our ambition to lead from a heart of humility, of spirit and of truth that enfolds others into His love and celebrates His glory here and now in the Kingdom of God on earth.
At the heart of worship at Monte Vista Chapel is proclaiming the gospel of Jesus’ love, reminding each other of His invitation to Him and sharing together of His faithfulness. Of course, we are not the only ministry doing this at Monte Vista Chapel, and that is what makes the many types of service and outreach so powerful… Music, art, creative expression, Treehouse club, recovery, small groups, bible study, Tru clubs, student ministries, mom’s club, grief support, and missions. All of these are not people simply gathered to do a task. We are the ones called to be alongside in real life together, and when we find ourselves in a living encounter with God’s love, He is recognized. 1 John 4:19 reminds that “We love because He first loved us” and our hope is to offer ourselves from the abundance of love that we have experienced in Him as His beloved children. That reality is “singing praise” and “telling of His glory” and it can happen in so many ways throughout our daily lives!
It is our prayer that life together could radiate with praise to God as we turn towards Him understanding how He is never far from us and are reminded that we are His beloved. Our invitation is to allow yourself to be present with Him. Really allow yourself to be in a relationship with the Father who loves you so deeply. There in His presence, discover peace, courage, comfort, and joy in His new way. Become awestruck by His glory and respond to Him with your life in worship. Music, visual art and all of the forms of creative expression are part of the great tapestry that God has created for us to praise Him, worship Him, know Him and reflect Him to the world around us.
Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place.
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him!
Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; Tremble before him, all the earth;
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations,
“The Lord reigns!”
